In its English-language report, Pyongyang's Korean Central News Agency said that South Korea and the United States are disrupting "normal economic and trade ties and even diplomatic relations" through the United Nations' sanctions.
North Korea added that the latest sanctions are challenges against its "vital rights of a sovereign state."
The United Nations has imposed sanctions on North Korea as the country carried out its fourth nuke test in January and a long-range rocket launch the following month, both of which drew international condemnation.
Last month, North Korea also claimed it successfully launched an intermediate-range ballistic missile, which theoretically has the range to hit some US military targets in the western Pacific, such as Guam.
North Korea's exports of coals and weaponry, meanwhile, plunged 40 percent and 88 percent on-year, respectively, after the international community rolled out the sanctions, Seoul's National Intelligence Service said during a parliamentary meeting on Friday.
